Adding interactivity to ePub eBooks
The topics below explain how to add various types of interactivity to a reflow article.
Once you have added an interactive object to a reflow layout, you can export that
layout as an ePub file.
You cannot add ePub interactivity to objects in an App Studio layout. For more
information, see A Guide to App Studio.
Adding audio to an ePub eBook
You can associate an audio file with a picture box in an ePub eBook. When the user
clicks the box, the sound plays. To add audio to an ePub eBook:

Do one of the following things:
If you are adapting content from a Print layout, draw a picture box with the size and
location you want to use for the audio content, then select the picture box and choose
Item > Digital Publishing > Edit ePub Interactivity.
If you are creating a reflow article without a corresponding Print layout, select the
component after which you want to add the new audio in the Reflow Tagging palette,
then click the Add Component button and choose Audio Component from the
drop-down menu that displays. If you select an article, the new component is added
to the end of the article.
The Interactive Attributes dialog box displays.

Choose Audio from the Type drop-down menu.

Click Attach and select the audio file.
You can use audio files in MP3 format.

Click Open.

Click OK.
To display the selected audio file in the file system, click Show .

Adding video to an ePub eBook
To add a movie to a ePub eBook:

Do one of the following things:
If you are adapting content from a Print layout, draw a picture box with the size and
location you want to use for the video, then select the picture box and choose Item >
Digital Publishing > Edit ePub Interactivity. If you want a picture to display in the
box when the video is not playing, import the picture into the box. You can also
