• If you are adapting content from a Print layout, draw a picture box with the size and
location you want to use for the video, then select the picture box and choose Item >
Digital Publishing > Edit ePub Interactivity. If you want a picture to display in the box
when the video is not playing, import the picture into the box. You can also import a
picture into the box in Reflow view. To do so, click the component and then choose File
> Import.
• If you are creating a reflow article without a corresponding Print layout, select the
component after which you want to add the new video in the Reflow Tagging palette,
then click the Add Component button and choose Video Component from the drop-down
menu that displays. If you select an article, the new component is added to the end of the
article.

Choose Video from the Type drop-down menu.

Click Attach and select the movie file.
ePub supports only .mp4 files saved with the H.264 codec.

Adding hyperlinks and anchors to an ePub eBook
Use the Hyperlinks palette of QuarkXPress to add hyperlinks and anchors to your exported
ePub.
The hyperlinks you specify can be external links (URLs of websites) or internal links (to
anchors in the Reflow View of QuarkXPress).
Hyperlinks and Anchors you add in your Print layout will automatically be added to the
Reflow view also.
Creating a TOC for ePub or Kindle
When you export a reflow article as an ePub or Kindle eBook, you can create the table of
contents for that eBook in two ways:
• Use the order of the reflow articles, with one TOC entry for each reflow article. You can
change the order of the reflow articles in Reflow view using the Reflow Tagging palette
(Window menu). To move an article up or down in the sequence, select the article in the
