This document describes the update paths from various QPS® and Quark Publishing
Platform versions to Quark® Publishing Platform™ 11.0. In short, the update paths
are:
• 8.1.x to 11.0.1: 8.1.6 > 8.5 > 9.2 > 9.5 > 9.5.4 > 10.1 > 10.5.x > 11.0
• 8.5.x to 11.0.11: 8.5.x > 9.2 > 9.5 > 9.5.4 > 10.1 > 10.5.x > 11.0
• 9.0 to 11.0.1: 9.0 > 9.2 > 9.5 > 9.5.4 > 10.1 > 10.5.x > 11.0
• 9.1 to 11.0.11: 9.1 > 9.2 > 9.5 > 9.5.4 > 10.1 > 10.5.x > 11.0
• 9.2 to 11.0.1: 9.2 > 9.5 > 9.5.4 > 10.1 > 10.5.x > 11.0
• 9.5 to 11.0.1: 9.5 > 9.5.4 > 10.1 > 10.5.x > 11.0
• 9.5.1 to 11.0.1: 9.5.1 > 9.5.4 > 10.1 > 10.5.x > 11.0

Upgrading QPS Server involves upgrading QPS Server, the QPS database, QuarkXPress®
Server, and XTensions® for QuarkXPress Server.
Upgrading QPS clients involves upgrading QuarkXPress, QuarkCopyDesk®, QPS
Connect Client, and QPS XTensions for QuarkXPress and QuarkCopyDesk.
If you are using an HSQL database, the Quark Publishing Platform Server Updater will
automatically update that database.
