Function: e KG-1000G has a built-in temperature detection system that will activate

a cooling fan as needed. ere are three options.

Options: TX / HI-TE/TX / ALWAYS

Default: HI-TE/TX

TX: e fan turns on when transmitting

HI-TE/TX: e fan turns on when the temperature of the radio is high during trans-

mit.

ALWAYS: e fan is always on.

Menu [38]: LOW-V

Function: When enabled, the radio emits a voice prompt every 10 seconds when the

voltage drops below an acceptable level. e radio will power o when voltage

is too low for the unit to operate (9.5V-10.5V) and disable transmission if

the voltage is too high.

Note: It is advisable to enable this function when the KG-1000G is installed in a car or

connected to an unstable power source such as a vehicle battery.

Options: ON/OFF

Default: OFF
