Operation
To transmit, rst be sure the channel is clear and then hold the radio a few inches from
your mouth. Hold down the PTT button on the side while talking and release the PTT
when nished.
Channels and Channel Groups
e KG-905G supports channel groups, which allow you to essentially categorize
channels for easier access. By default the 30 built-in channels are divided into 4 channel
groups, described in the Selecting a Channel section (page 16).
e transceiver is congured out of the box to function similar to typical radios that do
not support channel groups. Using the Channel Knob or the [UP] / [DOWN] keys
will move to the next/previous channel. Once you reach the last assigned channel in the
current group, moving to the next channel will automatically move to the rst channel
of the next group.
By default the [PF1] side key is assigned to the [Group-Up] function. Pressing [PF1]
will move to the rst channel of the next group. If currently on the highest group
number with assigned channels, the radio will move back to the rst channel of the rst
