HobbyK ing Quanum GPS Logger V2 – Documentation for PC USB connexion
Product ID: 9381000149 - Software version : GPL-100 V4.6
This device will not log your trip ! It will only give you your max speed, last
course, starting point and ending point.
It is not programmable; if it is, I wasn’t able to figure it out.
The PC connect option allows you to capture the GPS NMEA data on your
PC as you are moving. It will not save that data for a future download.
A working connection to a USB port on a PC:
The connector on the Logger requires a minimum of 3 (to 4) pins.
It is using a Molex 1.25 mm spacing connector.
o I used the HK part: MOL125F-LEAD - Micro Servo Connector
Lead 1.25 Pitch - Female Plug along with a standard female servo
connector.
.
I used the Hitec USB adaptor Part No. 44168 to connect the RS-232 port
of the Logger to a USB port on the PC.
This USB adaptor requires a driver to be installed first and before ever
connecting the adaptor to the PC: CP210x USB to UART Bridge VCP
Drivers
o It can be downloaded at:

the picture.

Molex (pin 2) Red (Receive Data) to Servo Black (USB Trans. Data)
Molex (pin3) Brown (Transmit Data) to Servo RED(USB Receive Data)
