Wiring the Connector
The QuanumGPS has an auxiliary connector that is of the type called microJST. This one is four
conductor. I was only able to buy them ten at a time. Use these key words to find it in eBay: “Micro JST
1.25mm 4-Pin Connector Plug with Wires”.
The connections to make on the
OpenLog side are here associated with
the colors on the MicroJST cable.
OpenLog QuanumGPS
CLK-----unused-------------
GND----------------red 4
Vcc-----------------green 1
TXO----------------black 3
RXI-----------------yellow 2
GRN-----unused------------
Below is a close up of the colors going
into the QuanumGPS just in case your
connector is not the same as mine.
1-green Vcc (5 volts)
2-yellow send
3-black receive (unused actually)
4-red ground
Note that the source of 5 volts can come from the
OpenLog or from the QuanumGPS. The servo
connector emerging from the QuanumGPS is very
convenient for powering both even if you are not
using the receiver to control the QuanumGPS.
