Connecting to Host

Connect the SCSI, SAS or Fibre Channel cables as shown in the following
figures:

Scalar 50 Cable Configuration (SCSI Full Height Drives)
• Scalar 50 Cable Configuration (Native Fibre Channel Full Height
Drives)
• Scalar 50 Cable Configuration (SCSI Half-Height Drives)
• Scalar 50 Cable Configuration (SAS Half-Height Drives)
• Scalar 50 Cable Configuration (Native Fibre Channel Half-Height
Drives)
Caution: The SCSI cables used to connect to the library system
controller board MUST have an offset connector. Using a
straight-in SCSI connector may damage the system
controller board.

Note: Quantum ships sufficient SCSI cables and terminators with the
libraries to set up two-drives per SCSI bus.
