FA Log File 3
The failure analysis log file (FA log) contains diagnostic information used
to troubleshoot problems with the library. This file can only used by
Quantum Customer Support. Have this file available prior to calling
Quantum Customer Support.
To retrieve a FA log file:
1 Click
Retrieve.
A window displays with the status of the FA log download process.
This
will take several minutes. Once the command to retrieve the
library FA log has completed, click the
Download FA Log link to save
the file to your local computer.
Tasks 3
The Tasks page displays the last fifteen tasks that have been performed
on the library that required a status window. Clicking the task link
displays the task window whether it is still in progress or finished.
To access the
Tasks page, from the Utilities page, click on the Tasks tab at
the top of the page.

Note: It is recommended to turn the library offline prior to collecting
an FA log.
