Your application software may use
element addresses
to identify
elements in the library. The difference between an element index and an
element address is that an index is a fixed number set by the library,
whereas an address can be changed by your application software (using
the SCSI command, MODE SELECT).
The element indexes correspond to the library's default element
addresses. To verify the current element addresses, display the SCSI
Mode Parameters screen (see page 93).
