Overview
This section gives installation recommendations and
packaging dimensions. It solicits information about the
delivery site. Record all requested general information.
Installation Recommendation
Quantum recommends that you install the Scalar 10K away
from a wall, per the specified clearances. However, if the
system does not have feature modules located across from the
Control Module (CM), you may be able to install the
Scalar 10K against a wall.
Due to the unique challenges that wall-installs present (for
leveling and future expansions), wall-installs are not
recommended unless there are no other alternatives.
Talk with the Customer Engineer for more detailed
installation information.
Pallet Packaging Dimensions
The Scalar 10K pallet packaging dimensions for each
individual module are as follows:
• Length 80 inches (203.2 cm)
• Width 40 inches (101.6 cm)
• Height 86 inches (218.44 cm).
