Basic Configuration with Three EMs
The basic configuration with three EMs includes the
following modules as shown in
Figure 3-7 on page 3-13.
• One AM (supporting a DM or TM)
•One CM
•One TM
• Three EMs (each supporting four DMs or TMs)
To maximize the number of tape drives when using an
LTO-2 DM, a second DM is required for each EM. For
physical specifications of the modules, see
Table 4-5 on page
4-6.
