Resolving a Stuck Accessor
If the accessor is stuck, do the following:
Step 1 Open the AM service door.
Aisle power is disabled.
Step 2 Slightly pull down on the Y-axis belt (to relieve
pressure on the gripper) and slide the gripper away
from the cartridge slot. If needed, remove the
cartridge.
Step 3 Release the Y-axis belt.
Step 4 Push/pull the accessor to the home position (AM
service door).
Step 5 Using the operator panel, place the library in Ready
state (Main Menu Mode Ready).
Note
When pushing/
pulling the
accessor, place
your hands near
the bottom of the
accessor to avoid
torque on the top
and bottom
bearings.
