Front Panel Cartridge Eject
button
When allowed by the application in
Tape
Library mode, or when not Ejection Protected in
JBOD
mode, cartridges
may be ejected via the Cartridge
Eject
button. Cartridges are ejected by pressing the Cartridge
Eject
button for the
appropriate
slot for approximately 2
seconds.
If ejection is allowed, the eject button will flash green and the
cartridge will eject shortly. If ejection is not allowed, the eject button will flash amber and cartridge will not be
ejected.

Emergency cartridge ejects:
Cartridges may be ejected at any time, including when the unit is powered off or in error conditions, via the
Emergency
Eject
port. Cartridges are ejected by inserting a straightened paperclip, or similar device, into the
Emergency Eject
Port
until resistance is felt. Then provide a firm push to eject the
cartridge.
NOTICE
When using the emergency eject feature the force should be applied to the
paper
clip
in a straight line (paper clip held square (90
degrees)
in both the
horizontal and
vertical
planes) pushing in toward the front bezel. Avoid applying
force to the emergency eject port in any other direction or damage may occur.
