Running, Editing, and Deleting a Protection Plan
Use the three command buttons on the Home page My Saved Protection
Plans
display to run, edit or delete a protection plan:

Run now—See Running a Protection Plan
• Edit settings—See Editing a Protection Plan on page 40
•
Remove plan—See Removing a Protection Plan on page 42
Running a Protection

The GoVault data protection software automatically runs your protection
plans according to your specified run schedule. You can run a plan
manually, at any time, regardless of the established schedule, by clicking
the green
Run now button for the protection plan in the My Saved
Protection Plans
display on the Home page (see figure 29).

When you click Run now, the GoVault data protection software changes
the displayed status of the protection plan from
OK to Starting, briefly,
then to
Running, as it displays the progress of the run (see figure 30).
Note: Depending in part on the processor speed and memory
configuration of your computer, and in part on the total
amount of data you are backing up, the protection plan run
can be quite lengthy. You can continue working with other
applications during this time, but your system response will
likely be slower than normal.
