GoVault™ Data Protection Software, Version 1.0 User’s Guide 127
After installation is complete, I see a message, “To be able
to explore GoVault cartridges some services must be
started.”
You might see this message if:
• The Windows WebClient service is not running when the software is
bringing up the GoVault data protection software user interface
• The software could not start its services because the operating system
could not allow the services to start temporarily
Click
Yes to allow the software to work with Windows to start the
software services.
I clicked Yes to start the services but I see a message,
“The ArchiveIQ for GoVault ViewStor service failed to start.
You will not be able to Explore or Search for archived files
without this service.”
This message indicates that there may be a conflict on a port that the
software uses for displaying the files you back up through Windows
Explorer.
To determine if the WebClient service is active and running, right-click
the
My Computer icon on the Windows desktop (Windows XP and
Windows 2003) or bring up the
Start menu on Windows Vista by clicking
the Windows logo at lower left corner of your desktop and then right-
clicking
Computer (in the panel on the right). Left-click Manage and click
Services.
Under the name column find
WebClient. Look under the Status column
and check for the word Started. If the word Started does not appear,
double-click
WebClient. When the next window appears look for Startup
