As shown in figure 4, the LTO-3A tape drive front panel display has four
LED indicators that reflect the operating condition of the drive:
The green
POWER LED is on whenever power is applied to the drive.
The green
ACTIVITY LED, the orange ERROR LED, and the amber STATUS
LED are either on steady or blinking at different rates in various
combinations to indicate the various drive conditions as shown in table 3
.

In table 3:
This indication . . . Signifies that the LED is . . .
On illuminated continuously in a steady state.
Slow blinking on and off at a rate of one cycle per
second.
Fast blinking on and off at a rate of four cycles per
second.
