Media
Regarding media, observe these general rules:
• Use only drive-appropriate formatted cartridges. Formatted cartridges contain embedded servo
code, written on the media, during the cartridge manufacturing process. Cartridges cannot be bulk
erased or degaussed.
• Clean the tape drive when the Clean Drive LED is illuminated. Be sure to use only drive-appropriate
cleaning cartridges.

provides the media requirements necessary to use the SDLT-600 tape drive.
