A
abort message This SCSI-2 message allows the host to abort a process
and stop the DX-Series system’s operation at its next “safe” position.
B
bar code label The identification label on cartridges.
bus device reset message This SCSI-2 message causes the DX-Series
system to clear all I/O processes. The Unit Attention condition is set to
indicate that the device has been reset.
C
calibration The software measurements and configuration required for
successful operation of the DX-Series system.
command complete message This SCSI-2 message is sent to the host after
the DX-Series system has completed the command operation and sent
valid status information to the host. This message does not indicate that
the operation was completed successfully.
D
disconnect (target to initiator) message This optional SCSI-2 message
disconnects the DX-Series system from the host while performing an
operation. This frees the SCSI bus for other uses while the operation is in
progress.
DLT Digital Linear Tape. A magnetic tape technology used for backing
up data on medium to large-scale Loans.
