The TapeAlert configuration settings can be read via the MODE SENSE
command’s TapeAlert Page.

PS Parameters Savable. Not supported; must be 0.

This field indicates the number of bytes in the page.
Note that this value does not include bytes 0 and 1.
The length is returned on MODE SENSE and must
subsequently be set to the same value when
performing MODE SELECT.

This field specifies the number of additional
partitions to be defined for the tape based on the
settings of the SDP and IDP bits. The maximum
allowed is the value returned in the Maximum
Additional Partitions field. Since only one partition
is supported, this field must be 0.
FDP Fixed Data Partitions. Must be 0.
SDP Select Data Partitions. Must be 0.
IDP Initiator Defined Patrons. Must be 0.
PSUM Partition Size Unit of Measure. Must be 0.
