The Control Mode Page provides control over several features such as
tagged queuing, extended contingent allegiance, asynchronous event
notification, and error logging.
DTDC Data Transfer Disconnect Control. This field defines
further restrictions for when disconnect is
permitted.
00b - Data transfer disconnect control is not used.
Disconnect is controlled by the other fields in this
page.
01b - Once the data transfer of a command has been
started, a target does not attempt to disconnect until
all the data to be transferred has been transferred.
10b - Reserved
11b - Once the data transfer of a command has
started, a target does not attempt to disconnect until
the command is complete.
If DTDC is a non-zero value and the maximum
burst size is non-zero, the tape drive returns
CHECK CONDITION status, sense key set to
ILLEGAL REQUEST and additional sense code set
to ILLEGAL FIELD IN PARAMETER LIST.
Tech Tip: Parameter values and flags are accepted but not
acted on.
