• The tape cartridge
with the valid
update image is not
readable.
1. Press the Unload
button to unload
the tape cartridge
from the drive.
2. Press the Open
button to open the
magazine door.
3. Remove the
magazine and close
the door. The mini-
library does an
elevator scan.
4. Open the door
again. The message
LDR RDY displays.
5. Rebuild the valid
image on a good
cartridge.
6. Try the code update
procedure again
using the valid tape
image.
If you still cannot do the
update, call your service
representative.
• A power failure
occurs during the
code update. The
drive may be
unusable.
Try unloading the
cartridge from the drive,
as described in this
table, to do the code
update again.
If you still cannot do the
update, call your service
representative.
