One-year Fast Exchange. In the event of a problem, customers simply contact Quantum Technical Assistance Center
(QTAC). Customers w ill be assisted in diagnosing the problem, and if it can't be fixed over the phone, a free
replacement unit w ill be shipped. In return, the defective unit is shipped back to Quantum. The unit w ill be dispatched

Bronze Level coverage is not available in all areas and, where not available, a Rapid Exchange (see "1yr RE" below )

With StorageCare Guardian installed, the w arranty covers one-year on-site Bronze Level (5x9xNext Business Day)
response for the system chassis, RAID controllers and Optyon adapters (if so equipped); and one-year of Rapid
Exchange coverage (see "1yr RE" below ) for pow er supplies, fans and disk drives. If StorageCare Guardian is not
installed and active, w arranty support w ill be commercially reasonable effort for all system components for the
duration of the one-year w arranty. Includes one-year 5x9 telephone technical support. Bronze Level coverage is not
available in all areas and, w here not available, a Rapid Exchange (see "1yr RE" below ) coverage applies during the

One-year next business day telephone support.
Once a product or Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) has been diagnosed as defective by the Quantum Customer Support
Center, Quantum w ill arrange for shipment of a replacement Product or Part at Quantums discretion tw o (2) business
days after receipt of the call. Quantum reserves the right to choose, at its sole discretion, Rapid Exchange of the
w hole unit or failing part.

w ithin 24 hours of QTAC determining that the unit is defective. Provided a customer contacts and completes all of the
necessary paperw ork prior to 1PM Mountain Standard Time, Quantum w ill send out a replacement unit that same day,
w hich w ill arrive w ithin 24 hours at the customer site. If the carrier has an unforeseen event that delays the shipment,
Quantum cannot guarantee that the unit w ill arrive w ithin the 24-hour w indow . Customers should not assume that the
time of contact w ith Quantum dictates the time of shipment.
PLEASE NOTE - The 24-hour Fast Exchange is available ONLY in North America, the European Union, Sw itzerland,
and Norw ay. In countries w here Fast Exchange is not yet available, Quantum offers the best available exchange or
return-to-depot repair depending on local restrictions. Contact your local Quantum representative for more information.
One-year next business day parts replacement w arranty. Replacement items w ill be shipped next business day.
Customer w ill perform the replacement and return of the failed item. All identified FRU components w ill be replaced
onsite by a Quantum Authorized Service Provider, w ith a next business day onsite response.
