Settings
☛ Clear ➔ Enter the bar password to disable ring for the selected type of calls.
☛ Check status for the network to transmit and display the ring status of the selected type
of calls.
Change password
To change the password for barring:
☛ ➔ Settings ➔ Security ➔ Bar calls .
☛ Change password ➔ Enter the bar password ➔ Left Softkey to confirm ➔ Enter a
new password ➔ Left Softkey to confirm ➔ Enter a new password again ➔ Left
Softkey to confirm the new password.
Status check
To check the status of calls barring for all the different types of calls:
☛ ➔ Settings ➔ Security ➔ Bar calls ➔ Status check .
After a short pause, the network transmits and displays all the ring status previously set.
Cancel all
To cancel all barrings previously set:
☛ ➔ Settings ➔ Security ➔ Bar calls .
☛ Cancel all ➔ Enter the password provided by your service provider ➔Left Softkey to
confirm or Right Softkey to reject the cancellation.
Fixed dialing
This function allows you to restrict the use of dialed number to FDN only (p.51 “Fixed Dialing
Numbers (FDN)” ). To change the settings for Fixed dialing, use the following procedure:
☛ ➔ Settings ➔ Security .
☛ Select Fixed dialing ➔ Enter your PIN2 code ➔ Left Softkey ➔ Left Softkey to
toggle
Fixed dialing On/Off ➔ Right Softkey to confirm ➔ A tick in the check box
beside the option appears if
Fixed dialing is activated.
Network
Network info
☛
➔ Settings ➔ Network ➔ Network info .
☛ Highlight the network you want to connect to ➔ Left Softkey ➔ The screen will return
to standby mode after a confirmation message is displayed.
Choose network
This function allows you to restart the network search that will be very useful if you are not on
your home network or you need to register on a different network.
☛ ➔ Settings ➔ Network ➔ Choose network ➔ Left Softkey to confirm or Right
Softkey to cancel.
