SystemDescription
TheDGA‐LT1providesareliablemeansofmonitoringgas(e.g.,hydrogen)concentration,temperature,and
moistureconcentrationinthedielectricinsulatingoilofelectricalequipmentatalowercostthantypical
devicesandalsoavoidstheadditionalmaterialandlabourcostsrelatingtoinstallationofpowerand
communicationscables.Thewireless
sensorisbatterypoweredandtransmitsdatawithouttheneedfor
additionalpowerorcommunicationswires,cablesorconduits.
Awebbasedcomputerapplication,providesamonitoringdashboardandnotificationsystemtoensurethat
electricalassetsincludingtransformersacrossawidegeographicalareacanbequicklyreviewedtoidentify
transformers
showingtrendsofincreasingriskoffailurewhilealsoreceivingautomatednotificationsbasedon
alertthresholds.
Thewirelessdissolvedgasanalyzerconfiguredforeasyconnectiontotransformersandotherelectrical
equipmenthavinginsulatingoilandincludessensorsformeasuringhydrogengaslevels,temperature,and
moisture.Asillustratedanddiscussedfurtherbelow,
theanalyzerthreadsintodrainvalveofthetransformer.
Thesensorincludesanopenbodythatisexposedtotheoilandhasahydrogensensitivechemochromic
assemblyintheopenbody.Thecolorofthechemochromicassemblychangeswhenexposedtohydrogen.
Additionally,theanalyzerincludessensorsthatdetect
thetemperatureandmoistureconcentrationinthe
bodyoftheelectricalequipment.
Theanalyzerfurtherincludesacolorsensorthatmeasuresthecolorofthechemochromicassemblydueto
changesinthehydrogenconcentrationintheinsulatingoil.Theanalyzersendtheencryptedcolor,
temperature,andmoisturemeasurementsthroughacommunications
networktoremotemonitoring
equipment,suchasacomputerserver.
Warranty
QualitrolwarrantsitsGoodstobefreefromlatentdefectsinmaterialsorworkmanshipforthedurationofthe
monitoringcontractinitiatedatthedateofshipment.Additionaldetailsontermsandconditionsareprovided
inthesignedagreement.
