The GSP-1620 modem provides a cost-effective way to collect
basic environmental and industrial data and turn remote
locations into real-time business data centers.
Electric Utility Industry
In the electric utility industry, a SCADA application using
the GSP-1620 modem could perform many tasks, for example:
Remotely turn on a pump, close a switch, open a gate, or
request a new meter reading.
Capture polled, scheduled, and event-driven data
cost-effectively.
Monitor line voltage.
Report on power outages, under/over voltage status.
Monitor or remotely control the following:
Transfer switches.
Standby or portable generators.
