Making a New Connection
1. In the Make New Connection dialog, click Next.
2. In the “Area code:” field, enter the information appropriate to packet or
asynchronous data, as shown below:
At a Glance: Data Differences
Data type: Area code:
Packet Make sure the Area code field is empty.
Asynchronous Type the Area code for the modem you wish to dial.
