Getting good performance
■ Do not touch the antenna while you are on a call.
■ If you have trouble making a connection, stand near a
window while placing your call or go outside.
Caring for your phone
■ Do not let unauthorized personnel install or service your
phone or accessories. Faulty installation or service may be
dangerous.
■ Only use QUALCOMM-approved accessories with
QUALCOMM phones. Use of any unauthorized accessories
may be dangerous and will invalidate your phone warranty if
said accessories cause damage or a defect to the phone.
■ Keep it dry. Moisture can corrode electronic circuits. If the
phone gets wet, turn the power off immediately and remove
the external battery, if one is attached. Let it dry before you
use it again.
■ Do not leave it in the sun or extremely hot places.
■ Do not leave it in extremely cold places.
■ Treat it gently. Use common-sense guidelines to avoid
dropping it, hitting it, bending it, or sitting on it.
■ Clean it with a soft cloth and a mild soap solution. Avoid
using cleaning solvents and strong detergents.
■ Activate the keyguard. If you plan to carry your phone in a
pocket or purse, activate the keyguard to prevent accidental
key presses. For information on using the keyguard, see
page 63.
