Note
You can also turn on the turn on the keyguard by selecting
[MENU] from your Home screen and then pressing and
holding the Select key.
To turn off the keyguard
There are two ways to turn keyguard off. The easiest way to turn
it off is to do the following:
1. With the Keyguard on screen displayed, press the Select key
. Another screen appears to confirm you want to unlock the
keyguard.
2. Press “1.”

The keypad automatically unlocks when you answer an
incoming call.
To lock your phone [61]
Locking means your phone can only be used for emergency calls or
to receive incoming calls.
1. From your Home screen, select [MENU].
2. Select 6>Access.The Enter Lock Code screen appears.
3. Enter your four-digit lock code. For information about your lock
code, see page 65.
4. Select 1>Lock Mode.
5. Press the Up/Down keys to choose one of the following:
❑ on power up
❑ now
❑ never
sel

Keyguard ON,
Press 1
to unlock.

Keyguard on;
Select [ ]
to unlock.

With the Keyguard on
screen displayed, press the
Select key.
Press “1.”
