62 Voice Mail, Pages, and Text Messages Preliminary Draft
When the available memory falls below 25% of the total memory,
the phone beeps and the message “Warning! Message Memory is
almost FULL.”
When the phone runs out of memory, it does not accept any new
messages. When this happens, erase old or unimportant messages
to free up some memory.
To erase old messages manually
You can erase old messages one at a time, as discussed in “To view
a page or text message” on page 60. If you prefer, you can clean
out your messages all at once.
1. Press the Message key to display the MESSAGES screen.
2. Select [ERASE]. The message “Erase old page count to zero?”
appears.
3. To delete all your old messages, select [YES].
To erase old messages automatically [37]
After you have received several messages, your phone’s memory
will become full. You can set your phone to automatically erase as
many old messages as needed to make room for the new message.
1. From the Home screen, select [MENU].
2. Select 3>Features; then 7>Auto Delete.
3. Press the Up/Down keys to choose enable.
4. Select [OK].
