3. Press the Up/Down keys to select the setting you want (the
more bars, the louder the ringer) or to select off.
4. Select [OK].
You can also adjust the ringer prior to a call. The setting you
choose will be the permanent setting until you change it again on
this screen.
To change the sound of your ringer [36]
1. From the Main screen, select [MENU].
2. From Menu, select 3>Features; then 6>Ringer Type.
3. Press the Up/Down keys to select the type of ringer. Each
type plays automatically; there are 9 selections in addition to the
standard ring.
4. Select [OK].
Muting calls
Muting switches the microphone on and off during a call. When
the microphone is off, the other party cannot hear you.
To mute a call while on the phone
To mute calls while on a phone, do one of the following:
■ Press and hold the Speaker button at the top of your phone;
release to speak.
■ Press the Speaker button at the top of your phone; then press
and hold the PTU/PTT button to speak and release it to talk
(see page 17).
To mute all incoming calls [16]
You can also mute all incoming calls permanently.
