48 Phone Book Preliminary Draft
To dial from book
1. Use one of the search methods to go the phone book entry you
want to dial (see “Searching the phone book” on page 42).
2. Press the Send/Talk key .
To speed dial
If you know the memory location of the phone number you want,
you can simply enter that number.
1. Make sure that you have enabled your phone to speed dial:
❑ From the Menu, select 3>Features; then 4>Speed Dial.
❑ Make sure the screen says “ENABLE.” If it does not, press
the Up/Down keys until “ENABLE appears and select
[OK].
2. From the Home screen, enter the memory location number.
3. Press the Send/Talk key .
To touch dial
Touch dialing is similar to speed dialing, except you do not have
to press the Send/Talk key —instead you simply hold down
the last digit of the memory location.
1. Make sure that you have enabled your phone to speed dial:
❑ From the Menu, select 3>Features; then 3>Touch Dial.
❑ Make sure the screen says “ENABLE.” If it does not, press
the Up/Down keys until “ENABLE appears and select
[OK].
2. From the Home screen, enter the memory location number,
holding down the last digit. Your phone automatically dials the
number.
Sorting the Book [42]
By default, our phone book is sorted by memory locations (how
you entered the phone numbers). You can sort it alphabetically, if
you prefer.
1. From the Home screen, select [MENU].
2. Select 4>Display; then 2>Sort Book.
