to edit the number, don’t make any changes and then press
[SAVE] or [SAVE*].
If you are changing a secure phone number, you are done at this
point since you can only change the number
7. Edit the name if you wish; press [SAVE] or [SAVE*] (or
bypass).
8. Edit the memory location number if you wish; press [SAVE}or
[SAVE*] (or bypass).
9. Save the entry as hidden or non-hidden.Hidden entries won’t
display the phone number with incoming calls.
When you finish making all your changes, a confirmation message
appears on the screen.
To erase a phone book entry
1. Select [BOOK]. The Location?? screen appears.
2. Use one of the search methods to go the phone book entry you
want to erase (see “Searching the phone book” on page 42).
3. Select [VIEW] to see details of the entry. The [EDIT] and
[ERASE] Smart keys appear.
4. Select [ERASE].
5. Do one of the following:
❑ If number is not hidden, a regular confirmation screen
appears, showing information about the phone book
entry. Select [OK].
❑ If the number is hidden, you’ll be prompted to enter a 4-
digit lock code.Enter this code. There will be no confirmation
message and no undo.

6. Select [OK]. “-ERASED-” appears on the display to indicate that
you successfully deleted the entry.
Dialing from your phone book
Once you have made entries in your phone book, you can easily
retrieve and dial numbers. You can also make use of speed dialing
and touch dialing.
