Turning your phone on and off
To turn the phone on
To use your phone or to receive calls, you must turn it on.
1. Hold down the End/Power key for about a second until
you see Searching on your display and your Home screen
appears.
2. Once your phone is on, check your display icons to see if you
are receiving a signal:
should appear on your display, indicating your phone
is receiving a signal
should not appear on your display, indicating you
temporarily do not have service. Wait a few minutes or
move to an open area.
To turn the phone off
To save the battery, turn your phone off when you are not using it
or waiting for a call. When your phone is off, others trying to
contact you can still leave voice and text messages and pages.
Hold down the End or Power key for about a second
until you see Powering off on your display.
