Performing a Self-test of Your Phone
You may initiate a self-test of your phone at any time, except when you are involved in a

when you turn on the phone. The purpose of these tests is to:
!
Test the phone’s hardware
!
Test various phone software algorithms
The phone will not work until it passes a self-test. If the phone encounters any security
violations, you are notified. You are also notified of a successful self-test.

are logged in as a secure user.

The Terminal Administrator can authorize you to load phone software by
enabling the ‘User Load Secure Software’ Access Control setting (see “Viewing
Access Control Settings” on page 22).
