Customizing Your Phone
From the Settings menu, you can change the settings on your phone to customize the
screen display and sound.

Standard Settings
Some of the items that can be changed include whether to silence all alerts, sound options
such as the volume or ringer type, display options such as the banner or time format, alert
options, call timers and accessory options.
To Silence/Enable Audible Alerts
Using the Silence All function, you can silence all audible alerts that come from the
speaker. Perform the following procedure to silence/enable audible alerts:

From the Home screen, press the Select ( ) key.

Press the Select ( ) key again to select the
Settings
tab.

From the Settings menu, select
Silence All
.
Note
The Settings menu cannot be accessed during a secure call. See “Making
Secure Calls” on page 31 for a discussion of secure call limitations.
Note
The Silence All, Lights Only setting can also be activated by pressing and
holding the UP navigation key from the Home screen.
