Using the Contacts Database
To Customize/Edit an Existing Contact
1
Access the Contacts list or perform a search (see “Viewing, Searching and Dialing
Contacts” on page 64).

Select the contact you want to edit.

Options
.
The Options menu appears.

Select one of the following options:
"
Add New:
adds a new phone number, e-mail address, mailing address, or
web address to the contact. See Step 4 of “To Enter Contacts Directly” on
page 62 for more information on the entries you can add to a contact.
"
Edit Name:
allows you to edit the contact’s name. After you edit the name,
select
Save
to save the changes, or select
Cancel
to return to the Options
menu without saving the changes.
"
Classify Contact:
allows you to classify the contact as
Business
,
Personal
or
Neither
"
Erase Contact:
deletes the contact from your Contacts list. After you
select this option, select [Yes] to delete the contact, or select [No] to return
to the Options menu without deleting the contact.

Press the Clear ( ) key to return to the Contact screen. Scroll up or down to an
entry within this contact that you want to dial or edit.

Press one of the following keys:

Send/Talk ( ) - dials a phone number (if one is selected)
"
Select ( ) - allows you to edit or delete the selected entry

If you chose Select
()
in the previous step, you can modify this entry. Select
one of the following options:
"
Number Type:
Phone numbers only. Assigns a phone number type to the
selected entry. Possible types include
Work
(),
Home
( ),
Mobile
(),
Pager
( ), and
QSec
( ). See “Understanding QSec Type
Phone Numbers” on page 59 for a description of the QSec type and its
significance.
"
View Address:
Addresses only. Displays the entire address on the
screen.
"
Edit:
allows you to edit the entry’s contents
"
Erase:
deletes the entry
