Returning and Saving Callback Numbers

Select one of the following options:

Enable:
messages are automatically erased, as needed
"
Disable:
messages are not automatically erased
Returning and Saving Callback Numbers
Callback numbers
are numbers someone can leave you as a page or a text message, or
numbers that are automatically stored on your phone when your receive a call. If your
service provider has caller ID, or if a caller left a callback number in the page message,
you can return the call without redialing the number. You can also save the callback
number to your Contacts list.
To Return a Call

The following methods can be used to return a call:

From a text message containing a callback number, press the Send/Talk
( ) key, and then select [Call] (see “Making a Call Using a Callback
Number” on page 76).

Access the Recent Calls list (go to Step 2).

Access the Recent Calls list using one of the following actions:

From the application tabs, select
Recent Calls
.
"
From the Home screen, press the Left navigation key.
"
From the missed call notification screen, select [Calls]. The Missed Calls
screen appears. Go to Step 4

Select the
Missed Calls
option.
The Missed Calls screen appears, displaying the 10 most recent missed calls.

Scroll to the call you want to return and press the Send/Talk ( ) key.
The number is dialed.
To Save a Callback Number

The following methods can be used to save a callback number:

From the body of a text message, scroll to the callback number and select
it. Go to Step 5
"
Access the
Recent Calls
menu item. Go to Step 2
Note
If an incoming caller ID is restricted, private, unavailable or unknown, the
caller’s number is not displayed on the screen, and is not available for callback.
