Voice Mail, Pages, and Text Messages

Select one of the following options:
"
Send:
sends the message immediately
The screen displays “Sending message. Please wait...”, and then a
success or failure notification is displayed. The message appears as a
sent message in the OutBox.
"
Save:
saves the message to the phone’s memory
The message appears as a pending message in the OutBox.
To Send Preformatted Text Messages
Using the
Send Preformat
menu item, you can use a pre-composed phrase as the default
for your new text message. Perform the following procedure to send preformatted text
messages:

From the Home screen, press the Select ( ) key.

Scroll to the
Messages
tab, and press the Select ( ) key.

From the Messages menu, select
Send Preformat
.
A list of phrases appears on the screen.

Select the phrase that you want to start your message with.
The Send To field appears.

Repeat Step 4 and Step 5 of the “To Send Standard Text Messages” procedure
The pre-composed phrase appears in the message field.

Edit the message text as desired, and then press the Select ( ) key twice to
select [Continue].
The Message Options menu appears.

Repeat Step 7 of the “To Send Standard Text Messages” procedure.
To View Sent Text Messages
Your phone keeps a log of all text messages that you send. This includes messages that
were successfully sent, messages that are pending, and messages that failed to reach
their recipient. Perform the following procedure to view sent text messages:

From the Home screen, press the Select ( ) key.

Scroll to the
Messages
tab, and press the Select ( ) key.

From the Messages menu, select
OutBox
to view all sent and pending messages.
The number in parentheses (N) indicates the number of messages in the OutBox.
The OutBox appears, displaying the sent messages.

Scroll to the message you want to view, and press the Select ( ) key.
