Voice Mail, Pages, and Text Messages
To Access Your Voice Mail Messages
To call your voice mail number, perform one of the following actions:

Press and hold the 1 key (see “Using the Speed Dial List” on page 67). This action
may not work for all service providers.

Press the Send/Talk ( ) key from the voice mail notification screen.

Press the Send/Talk ( ) key while the cursor is on the
Messages
,
Voice Mail
menu option.

Press the Send/Talk ( ) key while viewing a voice mail message.

First, select the
Messages, Voice Mail
menu option to view all received voice mails
(the number in parentheses (N) indicates the number of voice mails). The Voice Mail
screen appears. Select [Call] from this screen.
Once you call the voice mail number, perform the following procedure to access your voice
mail messages:

Enter your private pass code and press the Select ( ) key.

Follow the audible instructions provided by your service provider to access your
messages.
Retrieving Text Messages
When a new text message arrives, a text message notification appears on the screen. It
includes the date and time of the message, the sender’s phone number (or name if it
matches a number in the Contacts list), and [View]/[Ignore] screen keys. [View] displays
the message text, while [Ignore] returns you to the previous application.
To View Received Text Messages

From the Home screen, press the Select ( ) key.

Scroll to the
Messages
tab, and press the Select ( ) key.

From the Messages menu, select
InBox
to view all received text messages. The two
numbers in parentheses indicate the number of new messages in the Inbox, and the
total number of messages in the Inbox, respectively.
The InBox appears, displaying the received messages. The newest messages are
displayed at the top of the screen.

Scroll to the message you want to view, and press the Select ( ) key.
Note
If you have not saved a voice mail number into the phone, a notification will
appear prompting you for this number. Once you enter the number, the phone
will make a call to your voice mail.
