Ending Secure Calls

Prepare to receive the next incoming call as secure. This is the only way to receive

a secure call from a non-QSec phone, or from a QSec phone that is strapped

Secure-only. This can be executed by talking to the other party in a clear call, and

arranging for that party to initiate a secure call to your phone in a minute or so. You

then select the

Security

Next Call

Incoming Secure

menu item. The next

incoming call is answered as secure.

Ending Secure Calls

Press the Power/End-call ( ) key to end the secure call. The text "Secure Call Ended"

and the call duration are briefly displayed before the phone reverts back to the Home

screen.

Note

The Incoming Secure menu item must be selected before the incoming secure

call can be received. Any outgoing call will reset this setting to Normal. Also,

this menu item is only available for single-number phones.

Note

If a secure call is dropped, the text "Secure Call Failed" appears on the screen

until a key is pressed.
