Receiving Secure Calls

The types of messages you see and the length of setup time depends on whether
the number you dial has been previously recognized and stored as secure in your
Contacts database (see “Understanding QSec Type Phone Numbers” on page 59).
During a secure call, DAO (Department/Agency/Office) information appears on the
screen, identifying the other party. In addition, the security classification (Top Secret,
Secret, Confidential or Unclassified), time and identification information of the other
party also appear on the screen.

Receiving Secure Calls
To receive a secure call from a QSec-800 or QSec-2700 phone, the calling party can use
either your basic phone number or async number. To receive a secure call from other
types of secure phones, the calling party must dial your async number. See “About Your
Phone Number(s)” on page 13 for information on accessing your basic phone and async
numbers.
Note
You can adjust the volume of your phone using the Up and Down navigation
keys. Use the [Mute]/[Unmute] screen key to toggle the muting of this call.
