To Log Out of Secure User Mode

From the Home screen, press the Select ( ) key.

Scroll to the
Security
tab, and press the Select ( ) key.
The Security menu appears.

Select
PIN
, then
Logout Secure User
.
You are notified that you are now logged out of secure user mode.
Determining Your Phone’s Strapping
Strapping affects how your phone behaves when initiating calls, and what types of calls
your phone is capable of making. Your phone can be strapped with one of three settings,
as shown in the following table. The Traditional and Autosecure settings affect the type of
call that is made when the Send/Talk ( ) key is pressed.
Also, the strapping of the phone you are calling can affect the type of call that can be
made. For example, if the receiving phone is strapped as Secure-only, then you will only
be able to make a secure call between your phone and the receiving phone.
Note
You cannot log out of secure user mode during a call.

Traditional
Press the Send/Talk ( ) key.
Press and hold the Send/Talk
( ) key for approximately 1
second (until the phone beeps).
Auto-secure Press and hold the Send/Talk
( ) key for approximately 1
second (until the phone beeps).
Press the Send/Talk ( ) key.
Secure-only
If your phone is strapped as
Secure-only, you can only make
clear emergency (911) calls.
Press (or press and hold) the
Send/Talk ( ) key to make an
emergency call.
Press the Send/Talk ( ) key.
