Before learning how to make calls on your phone or change the settings, you need to
know how to navigate menus and screens.

Recognizing the Home Screen
When you first turn on your phone, the Home screen appears.
This screen displays your banner, along with the current date and time (see “To Configure
the Phone’s Display” on page 79 for details on customizing the banner and time format).
Note
Unless otherwise indicated, the procedures described in this manual will use
the Home screen as the starting point.
Tip
From the Home screen, press the Left navigation key to access the Recent Calls
list, or press the Right navigation key to access the Contacts list.
Hold down the Up navigation key to enable Silence All, or hold down the Clear
( ) key to enable Auto Keyguard.
