Troubleshooting
Red security LED (secure
LED) is on continuously
This is normal behavior during secure calls, and while you
are accessing the
Security
menu. It is also on while the
phone is powering up and powering down. When the secure
LED is continuously on, this indicates that the phone is
performing a trusted operation, and that information
highlighted on the screen with a red bar can be trusted. See
“About the Secure LED” on page 10.
Red security LED (secure
LED) blinks periodically
This is normal behavior during clear calls. When the secure
LED blinks periodically, this indicates that the microphone is
on and that control of this microphone is currently not
secure. You should confirm that the secure LED does not
blink after a clear call ends.
Red security LED is not on
during a trusted operation
The secure LED may have failed, or your phone may be
compromised. Contact your Terminal Administrator.
Key Management

page 92).
Advanced Settings
Want to perform an
advanced or
administrative function,
but the phone says that I
am not authorized
Your Terminal Administrator/COMSEC Custodian has not
authorized you to perform that function. Contact your
Terminal Administrator/COMSEC Custodian. Select the

,
