Scheduling Events

To Add an Event to Your Schedule

From the Home screen, press the Select ( ) key.

Scroll to the
Extra
tab, and press the Select ( ) key.

From the Extra menu, select
Scheduler
, then
Add Event
.
The New Event screen appears.

Enter a title for your event, and press the Select ( ) key twice to select [Next].

In the Start field, scroll up or down to change the hour or minute setting of the starting
time for this event. Scroll left or right to switch from hour to minute.

Scroll right to switch to the Duration
field. Scroll up or down to increment the hour or
minute of the event duration accordingly (smallest increment is 15 minutes). Scroll
left or right to switch from hour to minute.

Scroll right to switch to the Alarm field. The alarm acts as a reminder for this event,
notifying you that it is about to occur. Scroll up or down to select one of the following
options:
"
No Alarm:
the alarm for this event is disabled. No notification (reminder)
is given for this event.
"
1 Min:
the alarm goes off one minute before the event
"
15Min:
the alarm goes off 15 minutes before the event
"
30Min:
the alarm goes off 30 minutes before the event

Press the Select ( ) key to continue.
The Note screen appears.

You can also add an event while viewing your schedule. See Step 4 of the
previous section (“To View Your Schedule” )
Note
To change the text entry method, select the [Multitap] screen key, then select
one of the following options.
!
Multitap:
standard text entry method. Press the number key
corresponding to the letter as many times as necessary to enter that
letter.
!
Numbers:
enters numbers corresponding to each number key (instead
of letters)
!
Symbols:
enters a symbol corresponding to a number key
Note
The Event notification (alarm) that appears on the screen includes the title, start
time, duration and description of the event.
During a secure call, you will not be able to hear the audible alert or see the
alarm notification. See “Making Secure Calls” on page 31 for a discussion of
secure call limitations.
