Rekey mode ends. Calls can be placed and received normally.
To Terminate a Rekey Session
1
From the Home screen, press the Select ( ) key.

Scroll to the
Security
tab, and press the Select ( ) key.

From the Security menu, select
Key Management
.
If you have not logged on as a secure user, you will be prompted to do so. See “To
Log On as a Secure User” on page 19.

Select
Rekey
, then
Disable
.
The phone terminates the current rekey session.
Loading Keys
This procedure enables a direct key load (not an over-the-air rekey) via a secure data
cable connected to the phone's serial port. You need to purchase a secure data cable and
a DTD adapter cable for this operation (see “Accessories” on page 131).
To Load Keys

From the Home screen, press the Select ( ) key.

Scroll to the
Security
tab, and press the Select ( ) key.

From the Security menu, select
Key Management
.
If you have not logged on as a secure user, you will be prompted to do so. See “To
Log On as a Secure User” on page 19.

Select
Load Keys
.
A prompt asks whether or not to load keys from a DTD.

Press the Select ( ) key to select [Yes]. A key load will be attempted from a
DTD. If no DTD connection is active, the phone will time out after 90 seconds.
A success notification will appear on the screen when key loading is complete.
Note
If you select this option during a pending rekey, the rekey will continue, and will
result in all keys being rekeyed (regardless of the type of pending rekey).
Note
Before performing this procedure, make sure your phone is not connected to an
external power source (e.g., the travel charger).
Note
If you are not authorized to load keys as specified by the ‘User Load Keys’
Access Control setting (see “Viewing Access Control Settings” on page 22),
then you will not be able to perform this function.
