Rekey Seed & Expired Keys

The Rekey idle screen appears, displaying the rekey mode.

To initiate the rekey call, enter the number of the rekey center and press the Send/
Talk ( ) key.
The secure LED is lit, indicating a secure rekey call attempt. The phone will attempt
to rekey only seed and expired keys, or continue a pending rekey of these keys.
After the phone has successfully completed the rekey call, it notifies you that rekey
is complete and exits rekey mode.

Press the Select ( ) key to select [OK]. This acknowledges the rekey complete
notification.
Rekey mode ends. Calls can be placed and received normally.
To Rekey All Keys

From the Home screen, press the Select ( ) key.

Scroll to the
Security
tab, and press the Select ( ) key.

From the Security menu, select
Key Management
.
If you have not logged on as a secure user, you will be prompted to do so. See “To
Log On as a Secure User” on page 19.

successfully completed the rekey call, it notifies you that rekey is complete and exits
rekey mode.

Note
Incoming calls cannot be received during rekey mode. Any non-emergency call
placed during rekey mode will be interpreted by your phone as a rekey call.
You cannot rekey only seed and expired keys if a Rekey All Keys command has
just been selected and is pending.
