IMPORTANT SAFETY
INFORMATION
When using your Network Interface Unit (NIU), follow these safety
precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, and injury.
Caution
Never spill liquid onto the NIU. Do not use it near
water (a bathtub, sink, wet basement, or swimming
pool) or during an electrical storm.
Do not use the NIU to report a gas leak if you are in
the vicinity of the gas leak.
Do not overload wall outlets and extension cords. This
can result in risk of fire or electric shock.
Never push objects of any kind through slots in the
casing. They could contact dangerous voltage points
or short out parts, resulting in risk of fire or electric
shock.
Slots and other openings in the NIU are provided for
ventilation. To protect it from overheating, do not
block or cover these openings. Do not place the
product on a rug, sofa, or similar surface that could
obstruct these openings.
Do not place the NIU near or over a radiator or other
heat source.
Use caution when handling a damaged or leaking
battery. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire, as they
may explode.
Do not open or mutilate the batteries. Use only
proper QUALCOMM charging accessories. Unapproved
charging equipment may cause batteries to explode or
leak corrosive electrolyte.
