Setting NIU prearrangement for incoming data or fax calls
This section is applicable only if your service provider supports
prearrangement. Prearrangement establishes the desired classification of
service with the network service provider for either the next call or all
incoming calls until deactivated. To set the phone for prearrangement:
➤ Use either your computer’s communication software or your touchtone
telephone to dial:
There are five settings: 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4.
0 Receive only voice calls (This is the default setting.)
1 Receive incoming fax calls for 10 minutes
2 Receive only fax calls
3 Receive incoming data calls for 10 minutes
4 Receive only data calls
NOTE
If the phone is set to receive only fax or data calls, you must reset the NIU to
#823 0# to receive voice calls. If settings 1 or 3 above are selected, the NIU
will revert to receiving only voice calls after 10 minutes.
EXAMPLE
To set the phone for prearrangement to receive a fax within the next 10
minutes, dial #823 1 #
